Free and reliable, no affiliation:

- Heavens-Above (web): satellite pass predictions for any location, with charts.
- Stellarium (web and apps): the whole sky for any time and place; point your phone at the light.
- Flightradar24 or adsb.lol (web): aircraft near you right now. Remember many aircraft do not broadcast.
- NOAA SWPC aurora dashboard: the 30-minute aurora forecast.
- Launch Library / Next Spaceflight: upcoming launches worldwide.
- AMS fireball reports: if you saw a bright meteor, report it there too; they triangulate trajectories.

This site pulls the same public data for the exact time of your report, so you do not have to do the cross-checking by hand.
